Vacancy Chamber and Information Executive

The Office of the Clerk of Tynwald invites applications for the post of Chamber and Information Executive which is a key post within the Clerk of Tynwald’s Office.  The post-holder will be responsible for co-ordinating the administrative preparations for Chambers and undertaking other research and information management duties in support of the work of Tynwald Court, its Branches, Committees and Members.In addition the Executive Officer will assist the Head of Information Service in working to improve, develop and where appropriate expand the services provided to fulfil the support and promote the work of Tynwald.The successful candidate will have:

  • a flexible outlook and the ability to work as a team player; 
  • a proven track record of administrative work and prioritisation;
  • responsibility of owning and delivering tasks; 
  • ability to multi-task and work on various workstreams simultaneously; 
  • skills in planning, IT and time management;
  • ability to command the confidence of Members of Tynwald, staff and the public;
  • discretion and an awareness of data protection requirements;
  • strong oral and written communication skills; and
  • meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

The post is graded as Executive Officer (£27,393 to £34,640 depending on experience), and carries with it the opportunity to join the Isle of Man Civil Service Pension Scheme.  Further particulars of the post and an application form are available in the Recruitment section of this site and from the Office of the Clerk of Tynwald.
