A public consultation on proposed updates to the Tynwald Commissioner for Administration Act 2011 is now open. The purpose is to update the Act in light of practical experience.

The current Act covers the operation of the Tynwald Commissioner for Administration, also known as the Tynwald Ombudsman. The post was created on 1 January 2018 when the 2011 Act was brought into force.  Once the consultation has closed, the Tynwald Management Committee intends to consider the responses and report to Tynwald with detailed proposals regarding a potential Bill.

Alternatively, responses may be made via email to committees@tynwald.org.im and paper copies are available on request from the Legislative Buildings reception.

The deadline for responses is Tuesday 16^th September 2025.
