​The Constitutional and Legal Affairs and Justice Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, has launched an inquiry into the regulation of legal services in the Isle of Man, with reference to the role of the Law Society and, in particular, the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal.  

The Committee would like to invite written evidence from anyone who would like to comment on this topic.  Please note that the focus of the inquiry is on procedure and policy; the Committee cannot investigate individual cases or complaints.  

Submissions should be sent by 5pm on Friday 9th March 2018 to the address below. Email is preferred but hard copy is equally acceptable. Please note that Committees may publish evidence.

The Committee was established by Tynwald in October 2017. The Members elected to the Committee are Mrs Jane Poole-Wilson MLC (Chair), Mr Lawrie Hooper MHK, and Mr Chris Robertshaw MHK.
