To mark the 150th anniversary of the first popularly elected House of Keys, on Saturday 1st April, Legislative Buildings will host a symposium with the theme House of Keys: power, parliament and the people.

Tynwald and University College Isle of Man have worked together to create a one-day event at which guest speakers will present talks on the social and economic context of the events behind the Manx reform movements in the 18th and 19th centuries. 

We hope this one-day event will give everyone an opportunity to learn about the roles played by individuals and institutions in bringing about democratic reform and social change in the Isle of Man. 

The day will start at 10:15 and close at 4pm. Refreshments will be served throughout the day but please note that lunch will not be provided.Please note that this is a free event but spaces are limited. Please register for tickets by clicking this link to Eventbrite.
