There are still spaces available at two free events being held at Legislative Buildings on Saturday. 

To mark the 150th anniversary of the first popularly elected House of Keys, Tynwald and University College Isle of Man will host an all-day symposium with the theme House of Keys: power, parliament and the people. 

Experts in Manx history will talk about the social and economic context of the events behind the Manx reform movements in the 18th and 19th centuries. The symposium will start at 10.15am and finish by 4pm. 

 For a shorter visit, public tours 'Inside Tynwald' are scheduled at 11am and 2pm. Led by Tynwald Seneschal Paul Dougherty and lasting up to 90 minutes, 'Inside Tynwald' gives everyone the opportunity to tour the three Chambers and learn about Tynwald and our history. 

 Please be aware that due to the age of the building, some parts of the tour are accessible only via stairs. Mobility impaired visitors can be accommodated via a different route but prior notice to p.dougherty@tynwald.org.im would be appreciated. 

All events are free but we are asking people to register in advance to help us manage numbers.
