On 4th October, the Speaker of the House of Keys, The Hon Juan Watterson SHK, invited Members of the House of Keys to submit nominations of candidates for election to the Legislative Council. 

The procedure for election of Members of Legislative Council is set out in the Standing Orders of the House of Keys at SO 8.1 to 8.5 and at Annex 2. Further information about the Legislative Council vacancies and the election process can be found here.

Nominations for the election to the Legislative Council are being received and will be received until 12 noon on Thursday 4th November 2021. Details of the nominations, including the candidates’ nomination papers can be found here​ on the Tynwald website. 

The election will be the first item of business at the sitting of the House of Keys at 10.00 on Tuesday, 23rd November 2021.
