MPhil “Population and Taxation in the Isle of Man, 1960-80” (Liverpool University). PGCE (Liverpool University). MA Education (Open University). NPQH (Open University).
Family: Late parents (Audrey and Arthur). Two brothers. Married to Ann for over 40 years. Two daughters and two granddaughters.
Career: Teacher of Geography (Sutton High School, St Helens), Head of Geography and Assistant Headteacher (Castle Rushen High School), Co-ordinating Adviser for Secondary Education (Department of Education, Culture and Sport), Data Manager (Ballakermeen High School).
Public Service: Member of Marown Commissioners 2007 to 2016.
Interests: Population, Climate Change, Development, Old Maps of the Isle of Man, Methodist Church, Islands, Travel.
