Role as Radiology Hospital Administration Manager, gaining firsthand experience in the intricacies of healthcare delivery.
This foundation in health sector management sharpened my approach to ensuring sustainable, high-quality value for money public services.
Investment Banking sector. - this financial business understanding has proven invaluable in budgeting and managing resources across later roles in government.
As a Manager within Local Authorities, I developed a pragmatic understanding of planning, building control, waste management, and housing – essential services that shape the everyday lives of residents.
Distribution Division Manx Electricity Authority added a vital dimension to my experience, instilling a strong focus on infrastructure resilience and energy stability. Opportunity to be involved in and understanding Understanding the technical and operational demands of power distribution informed my strategic planning, particularly around resource management and long-term infrastructure investment.
Serving as a Leadership Team member and Business Manager in Education allowed me to contribute to our most essential investment: the education and empowerment of future generations. Here, I championed adaptive learning frameworks that equip students with skills for a rapidly evolving world, balancing innovation with accountability.
Finally, as an Elected Member of Parliament, I bring together these diverse skills to support appropriate policy making that reflect both the immediate needs and long-term aspirations for the Isle of Man. My legislative work is a principled focus and commitment to transparency, equity, and fostering a government that is both responsive and visionary with development prospects for the future success of the Isle of Man where public trust is earned through responsible leadership with progress.
