    Electoral History

    First stood and elected as a Member of the Legislative Council in May 2017 for a term ending on 28th February 2018; re-elected in March 2018 for a term ending on 28th February 2023; elected as Member of the House of Keys for Middle in 2021; re-elected in 2026.

    Personal

    Born: Isle of Man.

    Education: Educated at Ballakermeen High School. Graduated with an MA in Modern History from St Catherine's College, University of Oxford. Qualified as a solicitor following two years at Chester College of Law, and a training contract at Eversheds, London.

    Family: Married with two sons.

    Career: Qualified solicitor, specialising in employment law. Advised a wide range of clients whilst at Eversheds, including a secondment to the UK Financial Services Authority. Subsequently worked at Simmons & Simmons, London providing employment law advice and HR-related training to clients. Following a secondment to UBS Investment Bank, became the principal in-house employment lawyer for UBS advising on HR matters across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Returned to the Isle of Man in 2005 and worked for a specialist consultancy providing employment law support and HR-related training for large multi-nationals. Held position of Isle of Man Legal Aid Deputy Certifying Officer 2007-2010.

    Public Service: Voluntary Director and Trustee of Isle of Pride since September 2019 and voluntary Trustee of St Christopher's Isle of Man 2017-2022. Parent Governor at Marown Primary School 2015-2018; Leader for 1st Marown Beaver Scouts 2011-2016. 

    Interests: Music and theatre, walking, Pilates, and swimming.

    Where you ask me to assist you as a member of Tynwald to resolve a problem I will infer that you are giving me consent to process your information for the purpose of assisting you.

    Where you provide personal information to me it will be used only for the purposes for which it was provided.
    If the law allows, I may disclose information about you to other Tynwald Members, organisations or Isle of Man Government Departments to assist with your case.

     Unless specifically requested by you not to, I reserve the right to hold your personal data for the duration of my time as a Tynwald Member.
