Tynwald Day 2022 - tradition, community and celebration.
The President of Tynwald, The Hon Laurence D Skelly MLC, has announced that planning is underway for this year’s Tynwald Ceremony and a Tynwald Day programme of enhancements to take place on Tuesday 5th July.
Tynwald Day is our National Day that provides a wonderful opportunity to collectively celebrate everything that is Manx, especially our deep traditions, our Island community and our many achievements.
The formal proceedings will begin with the Schools Parade at the usual time of 10:10am. The Royal Navy Guard of Honour and the Band of HM Royal Marines Scotland will march to the Front Green and await the arrival of His Excellency, Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer KCB DSO MBE, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Personal Representative on the Isle of Man.

Grandstand seating tickets will be available to buy from next week - Monday 6th June. These can be purchased in person from Legislative Buildings, Finch Road, Douglas. Card payments can be taken over the telephone - please call 685500.
Blue Badge holders wishing to attend Tynwald Day may apply to the Clerk of Tynwald's Office for a parking pass entitling them to a reserved space at St John’s Primary School. For enquiries, telephone 685500.
Persons wishing to present Petitions for Redress at the Tynwald Day ceremony on July 5th are reminded that Petitions must comply with the Standing Orders of Tynwald. Guidance for potential petitioners is available at tynwald.org.im or from Reception in Legislative Buildings, tel 685500.
