Meat Plant: Committee to take evidence

​The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee is inquiring into the structure for processing and marketing meat in the Isle of Man, with a focus on the governance and assurance framework.    

The Committee will be hearing oral evidence on this topic from the following witnesses at the dates and times listed below:

Friday 21st May 2021 at 10.30am: Dr Valenti Canal, Official Veterinarian at the Meat Plant; Dr Tanya Gunnarsdottir, Chief Veterinary Officer; and Mr Ian Mansell, Director of Regulation

Monday 24th May at 2.30pm: Mr Keith Kerruish, Ballafayle

Monday 7th June 2021 at 10.30am: Hon Tim Baker MHK, Chairman of Isle of Man Meats, and Mr Phil Parsons, Meat Plant Director

The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas; members of the public are welcome to attend.  The evidence can also be heard via the “live and listen again” audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.
