Public Accounts Committee to take evidence for COVID inquiries

The Public Accounts Committee, a standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence in public on Wednesday 28th April 2021 from:

  • 10.30am: Dr Henrietta Ewart, Director of Public Health, Cabinet Office (Genomics COVID Inquiry/IOMSPC COVID Inquiry)
  • 2.30pm: Hon. Howard Quayle MHK, Chief Minister (IOMSPC COVID Inquiry)
  • 3.30pm: Will Greenhow, Chief Secretary, Cabinet Office (IOMSPC COVID Inquiry)

This session is being held as part of the Committee’s inquiry into the use of genomic sequencing in response to a pandemic in the Isle of Man and also its inquiry into the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and the border protocols during the pandemic.

The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The members of the Public Accounts Committee are The Hon. Juan Watterson SHK (Chair), Mr Lawrie Hooper MHK (Vice-Chair), Mrs Jane Poole Wilson MLC, Mrs Clare Barber MHK, Ms Julie Edge MHK and Mr Chris Robertshaw MHK. Mrs Barber, as a political Member for the Department of Health and Social Care, has recused herself from the genomics inquiry.
