Education Minister to appear before Committee

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence on Monday 26th October 2020 at 10.30am in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas.

Evidence will be heard from Department of Education, Sport and Culture Minister Alex Allinson MHK and Interim Chief Executive Officer Graham Kinrade. The hearing will focus on the findings of the independent review conducted by Beamans Management Consultants, the final report of which can be viewed here, and the subsequent Council of Ministers’ Response and Action Plan, which can be viewed here, as well as the provision of education throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.

The members of the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee appointed by Tynwald are Ms Julie Edge MHK (Chair), Mr Martyn Perkins MHK and Mr Peter Greenhill MLC.
